Being, a vigorous campaigner of the elderly community, S Ravneet Singh Bittu, Member Parliament from Ludhiana, had announced a grant of Rs.10 lacs for the construction of one MULTIPURPOSE HALL for our NGO.
On 17th February, Bittu Ji formally kicked off the construction process with the laying of the Foundation Stone. He also announced his determination to grant any amount of grant for the completion of the project. Madam Mamta Ashu, another upcoming crusader on the political front of Ludhiana, was also invited to the ceremony as Guest of Honor. She announced a grant of Rs.5 lacs from the MLA fund of Bharat Bhushan Ashu Ji, a Cabinet Minister from Ludhiana for the construction of the hall. The man behind the success story of our NGO, S. Kamaljit Singh Ji Karwal and the Area Councillor, Sh Gopi Ji announced that another file of 25 lacs has been moved by them with the Municipal Corporation for the completion of the hall project. The announcement was well acclaimed by the members.
The members of the NGO are all excited with the laying the foundation stone ceremony and the relative proposed funding arrangements for the completion of the project. Once completed, the activities of the NGO shall go a long way to engage and empower the elderly community without any fear of extreme and unpredictable weather conditions. Rich tributes were paid to the PULWAMA MARTYRS with floral prayers. Two minutes of silence was observed in memory of the brave soldiers who laid their lives for the sovereignty of the nation.
